Please join us for an evening of Mizrahi music, music composed by Middle Eastern Jews and sung in Hebrew and Arabic. Master percussionist Dror Sinai on percussion and vocals, Jim Grippo on qanun(plucked zither), Director of the UCSB Middle East Ensemble Scott Marcus on nay (reed flute) and vocals, Matt Wright on 'ud (short-necked lute) and vocals, Ziyad Marcus also on 'ud Avi Sinai on darbukah (goblet-shaped hand drum) and vocals, and Ari Marcus on daf (frame drum).
