New York native Nicole Mitchell is an avant-garde jazz flautist/composer and founder of the acclaimed Black Earth Ensemble. Nicole is collaborating with Stanford's 2014-15 Cholcolate Heads Ensemble. She is currently a Proffesser of Intergrated Composition, Improvisation, and Technology at University of California, Irvine.
