FSI provides support to Stanford faculty, students, and researchers for activities aimed at building student and instructor skills and capacity in the field international studies. The funding programs detailed below each have their own funding parameters, eligibility criteria, and proposal guidelines that must be followed in order to be considered for funding.
- Center on Advancing Decision Making in Aging Request for Proposals
CHP/PCOR Fellowship for Graduate Students, Postdoctoral Scholars, FacultyPlease note--this is funding for a seed project proposal and NOT a fellowship. CADMA is seeking seed project proposals for 2012-2013. Projects focusing on research highlighting the following specific aims will be considered for one year awards: Investigating the roles that age-related changes in emotion and cognition play in decision making, especially those surrounding cognitively complex and emotionally-charged topics, Learning how decision making processes influence day-to-day decisions, such as choices regarding exercise and diet that influence health and functional status of the elderly, Developing and evaluating support tools or information usefully to such tools that could be provided at or near the time of when people face difficult life decisions.

CHP/PCOR Fellowship for Graduate Students, Postdoctoral Scholars, FacultyPlease note--this is funding for a seed project proposal and NOT a fellowship. CDEHA is seeking seed project proposals for 2012-2013. Projects focusing on research highlighting the following specific aims will be considered for one year awards: Effects of medical technology on costs, health outcomes, physical and psychological well-being, and health care decisions of the elderly; Longitudinal and cohort studies of medical care, costs, and health and economic outcomes of older populations, in the United States and other countries, with particular emphasis on economic and health interest in outcome disparities; Application of demographic techniques, including biodemography, to understand changes in survival, health, and well-being among the elderly over time.

Shorenstein APARC, AHPP Fellowship for Postdoctoral Scholars, Professionals/International ScholarsInaugurated in 2011, the fellowship is designed to bring leading health policy experts from low-income Asian countries to Stanford for 3 to 12 months as visiting fellows at the Walter H. Shorenstein Asia-Pacific Research Center.

CHP/PCOR Fellowship for Postdoctoral ScholarsThe Physician Post-residency Fellowship in Health Services Research and Development trains physicians for leadership positions in health services research, primary care research and education. The program of study is flexible, accommodating a variety of career goals. The primary focus is providing research skills needed for a career in academic medicine.
