Young Alumni and the Stanford Fund
What did you get from your time at Stanford?
- A new way of looking at the world?
- The chance to study overseas?
- A best friend? A partner?
- An opportunity to help others? A job?
It's very likely that The Stanford Fund supported many of the experiences that mattered most to you. And even if you graduated just a few years ago, it's not too soon to think about giving back.
You Can Make a Difference
You don’t have to wait until you've reached a milestone in your career or made a lot of money. Your philanthropy can have a positive impact on students right now.
Gifts of all sizes add up. Last year, gifts from young alumni amounted to more than $900,000. That level of giving can fund:
- 28 need-based scholarships AND
- 19 undergraduate research projects AND
- 15 grants to Stanford's amazing student groups
The value of your gift is greater than just its dollar amount. Consistent annual giving from the newest generation of alumni shows that you appreciate the role of philanthropy in your own education. And it sends a message that you remain part of the Stanford community and feel invested in the university's future.
Be a Leader Now
The Stanford Fund recognizes leadership gifts from alumni of all ages, with giving levels scaled according to the number of years since graduation.
Level | Gift Amount | Years Since Graduation |
---|---|---|
President's Fund | $1,000 or more | 0 to 4 |
$5,000 or more | 5 to 9 | |
$10,000 or more | 10 or more | |
Leadership Circle | $100 to $999 | 0 to 4 |
$500 to $4,999 | 5 to 9 | |
$1,000 to $9,999 | 10 or more |
In addition to setting an example for your classmaters, leadership giving provides opportunities to network with leaders from other classes and take a more active role in Stanford's philanthropic community.
Volunteer Opportunities
Dedicated volunteers work with the office of development to communicate the impact of annual gifts through The Stanford Fund, ask classmates for gifts, and thank those who have participated.
