Math Department members are able to reserve rooms for their midterms, review sessions, and seminars. Rooms for courses and final exams are scheduled in advance by the Registrar’s Office.

Questions about reserving rooms for courses or seminars should be directed to the Student Services Specialist.

To schedule a room:

(Instructions for Reserving Department-Owned Seminar Rooms are below.)

Send an email to the Student Services Specialist with the following information:

1)    Name of the event (ie. Math 51 Midterm, Geometry Seminar, etc.)

2)    Date of the event (please indicate the actual date as opposed to “next Tuesday”)

3)    Start and end time of the event (including AM or PM)

4)    Number of seats needed (If you would like alternate seating for exams, please double your number. For example, if you have a class of 30 and require alternate seating for an exam, please request 60 seats.)

5)    Room preference, if any.

Please Note:

  • Scheduling requests for rooms in the Math building (with the exception of 383-N, 384-H, and 384-I) must be approved by the Registrar’s Office.
  • The more notice given, the better (ideally at least 3 business days), as the Registrar’s Office can take several days to approve and confirm the reservation.
  • As soon as the confirmation is received by the staff it will be forwarded to you. Please open the confirmation pdf and check the information to make sure it is correct.
  • Rooms cannot be requested or confirmed until the 3rd week of each quarter.
