A massive under-ice bloom, previously thought impossible, will require a complete rethinking of Arctic ecosystems. The 2011 NASA-sponsored ICESCAPE expedition that discovered the bloom was led by Stanford environmental Earth system science Professor Kevin Arrigo. |
