New School of Ed center to focus on schools in Brazil

Housed in the School of Education, the Lemann Center for Educational Entrepreneurship and Innovation in Brazil will focus on the training of Brazilian educators, education policy research and innovative projects.

European and American scientists, including Stanford Medical School geneticists Carlos Bustamante and Peter Underhill, sequenced the genome of the 5,300-year-old Iceman mummy known as Ötzi.

  • March 8 Faculty Senate minutes: Read the discussion that preceded the Senate's vote on the changes to freshman-year requirements. The Senate also approved revisions to the Policy on Conflict of Commitment and Interest and revisions to the policy on Consulting and Other Outside Professional Activities by Members of the Academic Council and Medical Center Line Faculty. The minutes of the meeting are available on the Faculty Senate website.
