Registration
Postdoctoral scholars are registered students, in non-degree status, with the University. A quarterly registration fee is assessed and billed to the postdoc through the University Bill. In most circumstances, the fee is paid for on behalf of the scholar by the sponsoring department or school.
Registration gives the postdoc a University ID number and a Stanford University ID card. The card gives postdocs various privileges, including access to all libraries and facilities.
Postdocs should setup a SUNet ID upon receipt of their Stanford ID number from their department administrator. With a SUNet ID, all postdocs are required to provide and update their home address and emergency information on AXESS.
