something like “bitches ain’t shit” is (arguably) a symptom of a history of men, well, treating us like shit. and then being socially rewarded for perpetuating the notion that we deserve said treatment. the phrase doesn’t upset me, but an argument can be made that it’s harmful.

the thing about real microaggressions is that they’re small symptoms of a larger problem. if you could point to a way that “men are trash” is a symptom of a growing sentiment to oppress men, then it would be a real issue. but that’s... not happening.

are the women on twitter saying “men are trash” affecting your life in any significant way? did you know that women can’t even say “men are trash” in a facebook post without it being reported and taken down for not meeting “community standards”? think!

This is indicative of YOUR values system. Not mine. I will never sit down with a white supremacist to preserve some antiquated notion of civility, or morality. My morals dictate that any and every Nazi can catch this fade.

Like...when monied privileged Whites say Twitter is terrible, it’s rarely because they’ve dealt with the harassment that sex workers, organizers, women discussing gender, trans women existing, Black people who discuss BLM/race, Black women existing in any context whatsoever have.
