What Should I do If I’m interested in Medical School?

If you’re looking into Medical School before New Student Orientation (NSO), you should consider attending the “Choosing Courses for Pre-Med” Academic Planning Session on Wednesday of NSO. This session will provide details on course selection and other things to consider if you are interested in a career in health-related fields.

After NSO

If you’re looking at this after NSO, you may want to join the UAR pre-med listserv to learn about many opportunities and resources for students interested in health professions. You may also want to join the Stanford Pre-Medical Association. Your Academic  Advising Director is also available to discuss course selection and other opportunities with you.

Additional Opportunities to engage in during your time at Stanford

You may also want to consider visiting a UAR Pre-med Advisor in Sweet Hall who specializes in advising students interested in the health professions. Many students find it most helpful to meet with a Pre-med Advisor starting in Sophomore year.
