In May 2013, President of the United States Barack Obama and President of the Republic of Mexico Enrique Peña Nieto, within the High Level Economic Dialogue framework, created the Mexico-US Entrepreneurship and Innovation Council (MUSEIC). The objective of the MUSEIC is to strengthen the binational environment of entrepreneurship and innovation in order to make our region highly productive and competitive.

The MUSEIC is coordinated by the Mexican Ministry of Economy, through its National Entrepreneurship Institute (INADEM) and the United States Department of State. The MUSEIC operates through subcommittees integrated by U.S. and Mexican Government Representatives, organizations that support entrepreneurship and innovation, VC funds and academia.
