June 25, 2015 – Cooling Tower Treatment Methods – Lunch & Learn

This was the 2nd annual cooling tower tour hosted by Water Tech at Internap.  The cooling towers remain pristine clean proving after five years this simple affective technology is cost efficient and saves tens of thousands of gallons of water each year! The Association for Facilities Engineers Chapter 39 members and guests would like to thank Jack Walker and Team as well as Mark  Plafcan with Weschem for this educational opportunity to understand the technology and a special thanks to the progressively thinking Internap Team for sharing their facility and their cost saving data. And let’s not forget the Andy’s BBQ lunch!

 

 

May 28, 2015 – The California Drought and Water Conservation – Lunch & Learn

How dry is dry? We will learn what actions local Water Agencies may take and how they could impact your buildings and campuses. What can you do to manage the drought and prepare for potential water restrictions? We will discuss new technologies and easy to implement solutions that can make a difference when dealing with drought.  Landscaping watering uses very high volumes of clean water. How easy is it to switch from potable water for landscape irrigation to recycled water?  What about utilizing controls for long-term savings? What about alternatives to pressure washing in efforts to save water…Our guest speaker is from BSM Facility Services

Apr 23, 2015 – Tour of Silicon Valley Advanced Water Purification Center

Tour of Northern California’s most advanced wastewater management center, which opened last year. The center will demonstrate proven technologies to produce highly purified water that can be used for a variety of purposes, including potentially expanding Silicon Valley’s future drinking water supplies.
