About the BART Accessibility Task Force
The BART Accessibility Task Force advises the BART Board of Directors and staff on disability-related issues and advocates on behalf of people with disabilities and seniors to make the BART system accessible to and useable by people regardless of disability or age. All meetings are open to the public. Membership on the BART Accessibility Task Force is by appointment by the Board of Directors with an annual appointment process which begins in August of each year. Meetings
The BART Accessibility Task Force meets on the fourth Thursday of the month from 2:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at 1750 Broadway, Community Room, East Bay Paratransit Offices, Oakland, CA. Times and/or locations may vary for the November and December meetings, so be sure to check the agenda for the time and location of the current meeting.
Accommodations
- Sign language interpreters at all meetings upon request
- Captioning for the hearing impaired at all meetings
- All the meetings are held in a fully accessible location, easily reached by BART or AC Transit bus.
- Meeting materials are prepared electronically and in Braille for every meeting and are supplied upon request. Audio tape could also be supplied if requested.
