Signed into law on August 10, 2010, the Act provides $1.2 billion for California education jobs in 2010-11.

The Education Jobs (Ed Jobs) program, a component of the Act, provides $1.2 billion to California to be used to save or create an estimated 16,500 kindergarten through grade twelve (K-12) jobs for the 2010-11 school year. Jobs funded under this program include those that provide educational and related services for early childhood, elementary and secondary education. California's application for these funds has been approved.
