Scouting North Carolina A&T
North Carolina A&T (5-4) has won four of its last five games after starting the year 1-3.
North Carolina A&T dropped a 74-58 decision at Mississippi State on Sunday afternoon to kick off a five-game road stretch.
The Aggies are led by Thomas Coleman, who has posted team-high marks in points (15.6 ppg), rebounds (11.3 rpg) and field goal percentage (63.6). The 6-9 Coleman is the school record-holder for blocked shots and has recorded 28 swats this season.
North Carolina A&T is averaging 74.3 points per game but allowing 79.9. The Aggies have been outrebounded by a 7.1 margin, but have tallied 54 blocks and 69 steals.
Stanford is 3-0 all-time against schools from the MEAC.

The "Welcome Back" Game
Playing its first game since Nov. 27, Stanford defeated UC Riverside 55-48 on Sunday night after returning from its traditional 14-day break for finals. That was just the seventh game of the year for Stanford, and as of Sunday night, there were only four other NCAA Division I schools that had played fewer games: Alabama A&M (3-3), New Orleans (4-2), Northern Illinois (2-4) and Northwestern (5-0).

Non-Conference Success
Stanford has posted a 24-8 overall record against non-conference opponents under head coach Johnny Dawkins. During the 2008-09 campaign, the Cardinal finished 13-0 against non-league foes and joined North Carolina (20-0) and Pittsburgh (16-0) as the only programs in NCAA Division I competition to own an undefeated record in non-conference action.
