A couple weeks ago a friend of mine orchestrated a mailbox ambush as a surprise for us. When we checked our mail that day there were cards and letters from friends, each with a gift card for a take out place near us. The consideration and effort put into that made my whole week. It was so wonderful! At that time we often grabbed a quick bite to and from the hospital, so I tucked the gift cards in my wallet. Welllll on Thursday my wallet was stolen and I only found out by getting a call from the fraud department at my bank. A LOT of money was racked up on not only our cards but on my mother's debit which I had in my wallet as welll. All Thursday morning I just felt so incredibly low. The money lost didn't bother me but this was the first time "the bad stuff" had been able to invade our support team. It just hurt my heart. The rest of the week I was able to put it behind me and focus on Scarlet's birthday (and endless fraud paperwork and police reports). Onward and upward now! No more of this bummer stuff. We're done!
