The joint major program in CS+History seeks to expand student learning opportunities in three primary dimensions: enhancing the critical research, reading, and writing skills of students with balanced interests in Computer Science and humanistic inquiry; deepening the understanding of the history of technology, including the origins and rise of the computing industry as it relates to the underlying development of Computer Science as a discipline; and challenging traditional history students to engage with technology and the broader campus community in new ways.

Permits students to major in both Computer Science and German Studies.
Spanish
The minor in Spanish is for students who want to combine acquisition of linguistic competence with the study of the literatures and cultures of the Spanish-speaking world.
