Mission Statement

"The translation of new and emerging technologies into improvements in patient care"

The Surgical Innovation Program is designed to;

1) Teach, study and drive innovation in the surgical care of children and adults; and

2) Facilitate the translation of new and emerging technologies into improvements in patient care through interdisciplinary research, development, and commercialization.

As such, the program has been integrated into the Stanford Biodesign Program which will allow it to leverage the tremendous interdisciplinary environment of the Bio-X Program at the James H. Clark Center.
