Group of visitors touring campus

Designed exclusively for school, team, or community groups, these Stanford organized tours offer a great introduction to Stanford University. Reservations are required, so book ahead!

ABOUT THE TOUR
Highlights Group tours follow the same route as our Campus Walking Tours and include:
  • The Main Quad
  • Memorial Church
  • White Plaza
Upon advance request, tours may include areas of specific interest to the group.

Cost The charge for group tours varies depending on the size and type of group.

*If less than two weeks notice is given, an additional $10.00 charge is applied to the tour fee.

The tour fee is waived for groups sponsored by a high school or community college and reserved at least two weeks in advance by a teacher or counselor.

WINTER & SPRING 2016
Tour Dates:
Group Tours will be available weekdays from January 13 - March 11 and from April 6 - June 3, excluding the following dates:

  • No group tours are available on January 18, February 15, April 28-29, and May 30.
  • We're sorry, but we are not able to offer any group tours during the national period of Spring Break from March 12 - April 5.

Tour Times:

  • 9:15am (for local groups only), 10:45am, 1:15pm.
  • Occasional availability on select weekdays at 3:30.

SUMMER 2016
Group Tours for Summer 2016 are tentatively scheduled for weekdays from July 5 - August 13; tour times TBA.
Reservations All groups of 9 or more must make a reservation in advance. To book a group tour, please email us at grouptours@stanford.edu with the following information:

- Your name and contact information
- Name of group
- Your company name (if different from name of group)
- Total size of group
- Nature of visit
- All possible dates

We no longer accept new reservations by phone. If you have a question about an existing reservation, please feel free to call us at (650) 725-3335.

A limited number of private tours can be accommodated in any given day, so groups are encouraged to call well in advance of the date they are hoping to visit.

If you are coming to campus with a group of 8 or fewer, you may join one of our Campus Walking Tours — no reservation is required.

Additional Information: All tours are conducted in English, and visiting groups with non-English speaking participants must provide their own interpreter(s).
