Fire Safety

To Request SUFMO

SUFMO of the Stanford University Fire Marshal's Office, provides repair, replacement or installation of Fire Protection equipment to our customers based on work requests and available staffing. SUFMO will determine service request schedules based on timely written work requests and customer needs. A minimum of 48 hours prior to date and time of necessary service is requested. Service requests received after 3:00 p.m. will be considered for the next working day. Extra notice is always desirable to ensure that your request is met. Service requests missing information may not be processed within 48 hours and are subject to delay.

NOTE: A PTA is required for all requests. If it is determined that no fire services are needed or the request should be funded by SUFMO, no charges will be included.


Emergency Service and Quick Responses.

SUFMO, in accordance with the guidelines established by the University Fire Marshal, has the authorization to determine emergency service. Emergencies are generally defined as broken equipment that has a serious impact on the Fire Alarm control panel or the Fire Protection for a building.

To request Emergency Service, telephone SUFMO @725-2129. Once the Emergency is under control, the requester shall place a service request using the Procedures as outlined above.

Billing Charges for Service

Fire Alarm: $92.00/hour
Fire Sprinkler: $91.00/hour
Fire Extinguisher: $78.50/hour

All rates listed are during our normal hours of business, 6:30 A.M. - 3:00 P.M. Monday thru Friday.

A callback to provide service after normal business hours is a minimum 4 hour charge.
