How To: Set My Allocation Preferences

Before You Start

It is recommended that you create and save your Allocation preferences for Expense Requests in My Allocations before creating your first transaction.

Create an Allocation Set for PTAEs you use frequently. When entering transactions, you will then be able to select the Allocation Set by name rather than entering PTAEs individually for each expense.

Step 1 – Log in to Expense Requests

Step 2 – Access My Allocations Preferences

Step 3 – Create Allocation Set

One PTA

Multiple PTAEs (Split Allocation)

Click Add Allocation Set
Enter a name for the allocation in Allocation Name
Click Split Criteria icon
Select Equal Split or Percentage Split allocation method
Enter the first Project, Task and Award
Enter the first Expenditure Type (optional)
Enter the second Project, Task and Award
Enter the second Expenditure Type (optional)
Click Add Another Row and enter all other PTAEs if applicable
If Percentage Split, enter Percentage for each PTAE
Enter a reason for the split in Allocation Reason
Click OK
Click Save or Apply
