Geneva, 17.08.17 - The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) has invited 101 experts from 41 countries to begin work on the Special
Report on the Ocean and Cryosphere in a Changing Climate (SROCC) as Coordinating Lead Authors, Lead Authors and Review Editors. The Special Report
outline was agreed in March 2017 and the report is scheduled to be finalized in September 2019.

Global Warming of 1.5ºC: an IPCC special report on the impacts of global warming of 1.5ºC above pre-industrial levels and related global greenhouse gas emission pathways, in the context of strengthening the
global response to the threat of climate change, sustainable development, and efforts to eradicate poverty (SR1.5). The report will be finalized in September 2018 in time for the facilitative dialogue under
the Paris Agreement that will take place later that year.

Berlin, 13.4.14 - A new report by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) shows that global emissions of greenhouse gases have risen to unprecedented levels despite a growing number of policies to reduce climate change. Press Release: IPCC Report: A changing climate creates pervasive risks but opportunities exist for effective responses - Responses will face challenges with high warming of the climate
Yokohama, 31.3.14 - The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) issued a report today that says the effects of climate change are already occurring on all continents and across the oceans. The world, in many cases, is ill-prepared for risks from a changing climate. The report also concludes that there are opportunities to respond to such risks, though the risks will be difficult to manage with high levels of warming.

Media Advisory: IPCC Working Group II and Working Group III Reports
Geneva, 21.2.14 - The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) will consider the Working Group II contribution to the Fifth Assessment Report, covering impacts, adaptation and vulnerability, in Yokohama, Japan, on 25-29 March 2014. It will consider the Working Group III contribution, on the mitigation of climate change, in Berlin, Germany, on 7-11 April. These Working Group sessions will approve the respective Summary for Policymakers and accept the full report. An IPCC Plenary session will follow each Working Group session to accept the action taken by the Working Group.

Geneva, 11.9.13 - In response to the article that was published by the Daily Mail on 7 September and updated on 8 September 2013, the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change
(IPCC) would like to note that: Contrary to the article the IPCC is not holding any crisis meeting. The IPCC will convene a plenary session to finalize the Working Group I contribution
to the IPCC's Fifth Assessment Report, in line with its normal procedures, in Stockholm on 23-26 September 2013. The session has been scheduled for several years and this timetable
has been repeatedly publicized by the IPCC.
