Organizational Structure
Working under the direction of a 12-member Board of Directors, VTA has a $380 million annual operating budget (FY’14). VTA's low-floor bus fleet serves a 326 square mile urbanized area. The 42.2 mile light rail system is operated with a fleet of 100 low-floor light rail vehicles. VTA has approximately 2,100 employees within the following divisions.

Responsible for developing and updating the Congestion Management Program (CMP), the Valley Transportation Plan 2040 (VTP 2040) and related technical documents. Provides information services to the public. Primary functions include:

Finance and Budget
Administers systems to measure and manage VTA funds and report financial information.

Provides bus and rail service to approximately 140,000 passengers per day.
