Robert Reich, U.S. Secretary of Labor (1993-97) and Chancellor's Professor of Public Policy at the University of California, Berkeley, will deliver a lecture entitled: Capitalism and Democracy. He will then be in conversation with Rob Reich (Political Science, Stanford University).

Robert Reich's Saving Capitalism: For the Many, Not the Few will be available for purchase. The author will be signing books after the event. 

This event is co-sponsored with Stanford PACS and is part of The Ethics of Democracy series. 

This event is free and open to the public.

Reserved tickets are strongly encouraged and will be available here beginning March 28. Doors open at 6:30pm on the night of the event for ticket-holders ONLY. Please print and bring your ticket to the event OR go to Will Call when you arrive.

Speaker

ROBERT B. REICH is Chancellor’s Professor of Public Policy at the University of California at Berkeley and Senior Fellow at the Blum Center for Developing Economies. He served as Secretary of Labor in the Clinton administration, for which Time Magazine named him one of the ten most effective cabinet secretaries of the twentieth century. He has written fourteen books, including the best sellers Aftershock, The Work of Nations, and Beyond Outrage, and, his most recent, Saving Capitalism. He is also a founding editor of the American Prospect magazine, chairman of Common Cause, a member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, and co-creator of the award-winning documentary, INEQUALITY FOR ALL.
