Julian Zlatev

Graduate School of Business

Julian is a third year PhD student in Organizational Behavior at Stanford's Graduate School of Business. His research involves examining the tensions that arise in situations when people must decide whether to behave selfishly or altruistically, and how these tensions can be resolved. He is interested investigating how one is able to justify selfish decisions at the expense of helping others, while still maintaining a sense of oneself as a moral person. Drawing primarily on concepts and methods from cognitive and social psychology, he hopes to take an interdisciplinary approach to studying these questions.
