Shengwu’s work is in economic theory and behavioral economics. He studies market design, which analyzes the constitutive rules that govern markets, and seeks to make markets work better. He is particularly interested in behavioral market design - that is, the problem of designing market institutions for agents with biases and cognitive limitations.
