The Poldrack Lab at Stanford

The Poldrack Lab is based in the Department of Psychology at Stanford University.  Our lab uses the tools of cognitive neuroscience to understand how decision making, executive control, and learning and memory are implemented in the human brain.  

We also develop neuroinformatics tools and resources to help researchers make better sense of data. Projects we are involved with include:

• Stanford Center for Repoducible Neuroscience - developing new tools to enhance reproducibility of neuroscience research
• The Cognitive Atlas - a knowledge base for cognitive neuroscience
• OpenfMRI - a data sharing project for raw fMRI data
• Neurovault - a data sharing project for statistical maps
• Neurosynth - a meta-analysis project using text mining
• Brain Imaging Data Standard (BIDS) - a new standard for organization of brain imaging data

Studies in our laboratory focus on healthy individuals, but we collaborate with other groups who are interested in study neuropsychiatric disorders, including schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, ADHD, and drug addiction.
