Courses for Credit

Benefits:

  • Take the same courses during the same quarter as they are taught on the Stanford campus.
  • Download and view lectures and course materials online and asynchronously within two hours after they occur on campus
  • Review all lectures throughout the entire quarter
  • Take as many courses as you wish
  • Work toward a graduate certificate
  • Apply up to 18 units of graduate credit earned toward a master’s degree program if you apply and are admitted

Due to classroom space limitations, students enrolled in courses for credit who ARE NOT candidates in the Stanford master’s degree program are expected to complete courses entirely online.

Requirements:

  • A mystanfordconnection account
  • An accepted online application, which includes a short statement of purpose
  • Transcripts from ALL higher education institutions
  • Visa documentation (For non-U.S. citizens residing in the U.S.)
  • Payment for each course via our online checkout system

Courses for a Master’s Degree

Students pursuing a master’s degree part-time through the Honors Cooperative Program enroll in their courses via Axess (Stanford University) and pay their tuition through their mystanfordconnection account (Stanford Center for Professional Development). They may access online lectures either through their mystanfordconnection account or Stanford’s secure viewing platform for on-campus students.
