About

Brian Woods is an Academic Advisor for Student-Athletes. As part of Undergraduate Advising and Research, his work as an Advisor in the AARC will support student learning and competencies, promote intellectual curiosity, and develop a sense of self.
Brian graduated from the University of Pittsburgh in 2007 with a Bachelor’s degree in History. He was a member of the men’s track & field team and, in his senior year, team captain. He completed his Master’s degree in Education in 2009, during which he was awarded a Carson Fellowship and served in an administrative role with the Pitt men’s and women’s track & field teams.
Prior to Stanford, Brian spent the past four years at Skidmore College as an Academic Counselor in Student Academic Services. Additionally, Brian served as an instructor and team member in Intergroup Relations (IGR) and worked with the Opportunity Program during their Summer Academic Institute.

Sports: Lightweight Crew, Women's Crew, Field Hockey, Men's and Women's Track & Field/Cross Country, Men's and Women's Tennis, and Women's Squash
