Oral Communication Program

Oral Communication

Faculty Resources Overview

In addition to our courses and the tutoring we offer for undergraduate and graduate students through the Hume Center for Writing and Speaking, the Oral Communication Program also provides a variety of resources for faculty.

Oral Communication Faculty Consultations

Our academic staff is regularly available to consult with you about refining your professional presentations, designing and delivering lectures, and facilitating seminar discussions.

Oral Communication Course Support

We also work with faculty members and instructors to enhance your students’ oral communication skills through our class workshops and individually-tailored speaking components, which integrate speech training effectively into a course’s existing structure and content with the help of our trained Oral Communication Tutors (OCTs). Whether your students are in the initial brainstorming stages of a presentation or polishing a final draft, OCTs can offer personalized advice and coaching throughout the presentation process.
