I work in public radio in Boston, and it seems like WBUR is really investing a lot in podcasting, especially compared to its main in-town competitor. Is there an organizational philosophy there of trying to move into the podcasting realm more aggressively? I'd love to see more investment in podcasts from other public stations, beyond just downloadable episodes of their on-air shows.

We can't speak to the moves of They Who Shall Not Be Named. But we will say that WBUR's leadership is really supportive of the station's podcasting unit; it strikes us as something the leadership is realistic about when they think about the future of the industry and specifically WBUR. Our hope is that successful products at WBUR and other premier public radio stations will help other stations get into podcasts.
