Conscript is a Sci Fi short that takes place in 1968 at the height of the Vietnam War. It follows Danny Miller, a draft dodging 20 year old who takes it upon himself to investigate in explicable extraterrestrial crash site in his hometown.
Think "Roadside Picnic" mixed with "Close Encounters of the Third Kind" with a bit of "Red Dawn" (the 1984 version not the Josh Peck version) all mixed into one scifi film.
I shot this film as a concept piece. Conscript is not currently in production. Rather, it's a feature film I hope to make if I ever come across a whole mess of money.
