Mentoring Matters: Stories in Motion
Stories in Motion, 2015 Stanford Alumni Mentoring (SAM) program's annual event focused on “creating an environment where students and alumni would be able to more organically forge meaningful mentoring relationships.” Stories in Motion was not about networking in the traditional sense. It was not about swapping business cards with strangers for personal gain–what they might be able to do for you, who they might be able to connect you to, or where they might be able to get you. It was about engaging with people, and valuing them for their humanity and for their worth as individuals.
