Stanford Blood Center is proud to partner with Palo Alto Adult School (PAAS) and congratulates them on 94 years of service to the Palo Alto community. Lifescan
LifeScan has been sponsoring high school and community blood drives since the summer of 2000. It started with a handful of high schools and has grown to 34 high schools, three colleges, two universities, and six community blood drives, for a total of 45 drives a year. For 2013, LifeScan has donated $40,000 through their sponsorship of movie tickets and Baskin Robbins pint-for-a-pint coupons to help encourage mobile blood drive donors. There is no other company in the Valley that provides Stanford Blood Center with such amazing support. We are so thankful to have LifeScan as a partner in saving lives!

Sharks Foundation
The San Jose Sharks have been giving hockey fans something to cheer about for over twenty years now. But did you know they give patients in local hospitals a reason to celebrate? That’s because the Sharks Foundation supports blood donation through annual blood drives. We’ve been partnering with the Sharks since 2007, collected total amount of 1708 units. Sharks fans turned out in full force in our 2013 blood to support the annual "Save a Life" blood drive at the HP Pavilion in San Jose, and some donors were lucky enough to be thanked personally by Tommy Wingels, Jason Demers, and Matt Irwin. The three players made a surprise appearance at the blood drive after morning skate.
"Both the Sharks Foundation and SBC are committed to making a positive impact in our community,” Sharks Foundation Manager Jeff Cafuir said. “Each year, more and more of our fans are willing to donate and we hope this trend continues in the future." Our last Sharks blood drive, held on January 23, 2010, brought in 338 units of blood. That’s our current record of donations at a single blood drive! We’re confident that our partnership with the Sharks Foundation will continue to be a record-breaking success.
Peet's Coffee
Peet’s Coffee sweetened the holidays for our donors in December 2012, providing coupons for free and discounted coffee to fill our cheerful Stanford Blood Center mugs for donors.
