Research Interest:
Professor Poulson's current research is focused on a symbiotic development of algorithms and software for distributed-memory dense and sparse linear algebra and optimization. Much of this work is embodied in Elemental, and the recent additions include distributed-memory sparse-direct Interior Point Methods for linear and quadratic programming, as well as high-performance routines for computing pseudospectra.
