Clinical Trial Web Postings

ClinicalTrials.gov Registration and Updates

As part of the study initiation process, the CCTO will automatically post all cancer interventional trials conducted by SCI investigators onto ClinicalTrials.gov and onto the Stanford Cancer Institute site.  The CCTO will maintain all web posting status updates through study closure.  To request postings of non-interventional trials contact ccto-website@stanford.edu.

ClinicalTrials.gov Results Reporting

ClinicalTrials.gov results reporting is the responsibility of each individual PI.  If you would like assitance with reporting, the CCTO has available regulatory expertise to support submission of clinical trial results to ClinicalTrials.gov.  For advice or assistance in preparing your ClinicalTrials.gov results record, contact Neal Birkett at 650-723-6456.

The NIH Proposed Rule requires reporting of clinical results data to ClinicalTrials.gov for all applicable studies. To summarize, any study with therapeutic intent or efficacy measures must have results posted for at least one primary outcome within 12 months of the last data obtained for that outcome. Results are not required for observational, Phase 1 drug studies, or device feasibility studies.  Results reporting must also include subject demographics and a compiled listing of all adverse events.
