Infections

Here we present information on different pathogens that have been postulated to be associated with Myalgic Encephalomyelitis/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (ME/CFS). The information provided in this website does not represent by any means an affirmation that the link between infection and ME/CFS has been firmly established. We strongly suspect that this is the case but we believe that further research is needed in order to ultimately establish a causal link.

Many thanks to the doctors and researchers who provided information on the pathogens they study, whom we feature throughout this section of the website.

We have organized this information by individual pathogens, but keep in mind that it may be possible for infection-associated ME/CFS patients to be infected with multiple pathogens.

The website will be updated on a regular basis as research reveals new information in this area.
