Education
Fellowship Program
The Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition offers a 3 year ACGME accredited fellowship program. The goal of the fellowship is to train physicians to achieve excellence in the practice of clinical pediatric gastroenterology, scholarly basic science and clinical research, and medical education.
Resident Training Opportunities
The division offers opportunities for residents to gain inpatient and outpatient experience in the management of a variety of acute and chronic diseases of the intestinal tract and liver through the following methods:
Stanford Residents
Stanford residents gain experience in pediatric gastroenterology by rotating through the Green Team during their intern year. In their 2nd year, residents can choose to take an elective block, with prior approval from Dr. Kerner. Third year residents serve in a supervisory role on Green Team for 1 month blocks of time.
Visiting Residents
Residents in their second year at outside institutions can apply for an elective block with our division. Interested residents should contact Megan Christofferson at (650) 725-9813 or Mchristofferson@stanfordchildrens.org to inquire as to available times.
