Stanford University Medical Center and the Lucile Salter Packard Children’s Hospital are pleased to offer an outstanding Pediatric Radiology Fellowship to qualified candidates. Stanford is currently approved for three ACGME positions in Pediatric Radiology. The fellowship year runs from July 1st through June 30th.
The Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital facilities and clinical practice continue to grow at a rapid pace. The Children’s Hospital currently houses 250 in-patient beds and performs approximately sixty-six thousand pediatric imaging studies each year.
The Pediatric Radiology Fellowship provides a comprehensive pediatric radiology imaging program utilizing state-of-the-art imaging technology, including two fluoroscopy suites, three ultrasound rooms, a CT imaging suite, and an MR suite including a 1.5T and a 3T MR. The Pediatric Radiology faculty members are devoted to teaching, patient care, and translational research, and include subspecialists with expertise in pediatric neuroradiology, pediatric cardiovascular imaging, pediatric pulmonary imaging, nuclear medicine, pediatric urology, fetal imaging and pediatric interventional radiology.
Stanford Pediatric Radiology Fellows are exposed to a wealth of clinical case material in an organized, structured, hands-on educational approach. Fellows rotate through a series of services, including pediatric MRI, pediatric CT, PET/CT, pediatric fluoroscopy, pediatric ultrasound, pediatric neuroradiology, nuclear medicine, interventional radiology, and general radiography. Stanford’s program also provides a comprehensive educational curriculum, including didactic lectures pertinent to pediatric radiology, radiology case conferences, and multi-disciplinary imaging conferences in which all of the major pediatric clinical subspecialties participate. In addition, Stanford also offers Fellows unique exposure to fetal imaging including obstetrical ultrasound and fetal MRI. Interested Fellows will have the opportunity to pursue in-depth radiology research.

The Division of Pediatric Radiology at the Stanford University Medical Center and the Lucile Salter Packard Children’s Hospital has the goal of utilizing the medical center’s enormous resources in order to train tomorrow’s best in clinical and academic pediatric radiology.
Prerequisites for entering this program include a valid California Medical License and completion of a Diagnostic Radiology Residency.

- A copy of your medical school diploma
- Copies of USMLE board exam scores
- A copy of your medical school transcripts
- Proof of training in an ACGME accredited Radiology Residency
- A copy of ECFMG certificate (if applicable; we do accept graduates of foreign medical schools)
- Visa status – Stanford only sponsors J1 visas. Applicants who currently hold an H1 visa will need to change to a J1. Please see the Bechtel International Center for information on Visas at Stanford.
