CDBG-R INFRASTRUCTURE AND HOUSING IMPROVEMENTS
The City of Berkeley will receive $871,248 in Community Development Block Grant funding through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) of 2009 (CDBG-R Funding) which will be used for public facilities and improvements projects and affordable housing rehabilitation projects. In order to receive these funds, the City submitted a substantial amendment to its Consolidated Plan 2008 Action Plan to the federal Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The substantial amendment describes how the City plans to utilize the CDBG-R funds and includes a required Activity Data Spreadsheet, which describes the projects and estimated funding amounts.
