Council District Maps

As required under the Berkeley City Charter (Article V, Section 9), the City Council must adjust, if necessary, the boundaries of council districts every ten years as a result of census counts in order to equalize population within each district.

The maps included on this website show the boundaries of Council Districts based on Redistricting Ordinance No. 7,320-N.S. (PDF, 556 KB). These District boundaries were adopted in December 2013.

The boundaries contained in Ordinance No. 7,320-N.S. are the relevant district boundaries for the November 4, 2014 General Municipal Election.

Questions regarding maps and/or district boundaries may be directed to the City Clerk at (510) 981-6900.
