Emergency Department Care Team
The pediatric emergency department is staffed with physicians, nurses and child life consultants who all specialize in the care of children.

Dr. Bernard Dannenberg is the Davies Family Endowed Director of Pediatric Emergency Medicine. Dr. Dannenberg is one of only a few physicians in the country who has completed medical residencies in both pediatrics and emergency medicine. His training enables him to treat medical emergencies in the smallest of patients.
Paula Miller, RN, is our Pediatric Nurse Educator. She educates our patients and their parents to make sure they have the information to care for the child at home. She will also train and direct a new generation of pediatric emergency nurses.
A Child Life Specialist is also a member of our team, preparing children for procedures and acting as the liaison between the staff and the parents.
