Heart Center Innovation & Research
Innovation is at the heart of our center and how we work. Our physicians were among the very first to petition the FDA for unique use of the Berlin Heart external pump device to support patients awaiting transplant, and our hospital holds the record for longest pediatric heart-assist in North America, at 234 days.
As faculty members at the Stanford University School of Medicine, our doctors work to translate their research on pediatric heart disease into innovative patient treatments or preventive techniques.
