Pacific Free Clinic

Physician Volunteering

At Pacific Free Clinic, we are committed to providing medical care to the underserved and uninsured. Our patients come from throughout the community.  Many of them, despite holding two jobs or having a two-income household, still cannot afford medical insurance.

Recently, we have been seeing an increase in individuals who were recently laid off and are seeking PFC’s help for their urgent medical needs while they are in transition.  As a PFC physician volunteer, you can do a lot of good!  You are poised to help individuals and by extension their families, people who need help the most.

But your influence does not end with taking care of your patient’s needs.  Since we are a student-run free clinic, you will be working with students who are invested in and are preparing for the medical profession, including undergraduates, physician assistant students and medical students.   As a PFC physician volunteer, you have the opportunity to educate, influence, and instill something of value to the next generation of medical providers.

Most physicians started their journey into medicine with dreams of making a difference.  At Pacific Free Clinic, we believe every patient we see is another opportunity to make an impact in someone’s life.  We hope you will join us.
