Members

Each fall, the Stanford Associates' Board of Governors reviews nominations submitted by University staff and selects individuals to join its ranks of lifetime members. All volunteers are eligible to be nominated for membership in the Stanford Associates organization.

Grants

Stanford Associates Grants are awarded to campus organizations for innovative projects that involve alumni volunteers. Funding is made possible by generous donations from members of the Stanford Associates. The Grants provide up to $10,000 for each project. A call for grant proposals is made to campus staff members annually.

About the Stanford Associates

Stanford Associates is an honorary organization of just over 2,700 Stanford alumni who have demonstrated significant and long-standing volunteer service to the University.

In 1935, Stanford Associates was founded by a group of committed alumni who wanted to volunteer for the University.

Today, Stanford Associates is part of the Alumni Association and has broadened its scope to honor exceptional alumni volunteer service from all areas of the University. The organization is responsible for awards and grants that serve its mission to encourage, reward, and recognize volunteerism for Stanford University.
