Beyond Scared Straight Play

A&E's Emmy®-nominated series "Beyond Scared Straight," following derailed, defiant and disrespectful teens as they enter immersive jail programs aimed at deterring them from a life of crime, returns for a fourth season.

Inspired by "Scared Straight!," the Academy Award® and multiple Emmy®-winning documentary film by Arnold Shapiro, "Beyond Scared Straight" follows at-risk teens who have been in trouble for everything from fighting, theft, and drugs to promiscuity, gambling and gang affiliations. They are forced to spend a day (and sometimes a night) in jail, be confronted by convicted felons and experience the harsh reality of life behind bars.

Bates Motel Play

"Bates Motel," serves as a contemporary prequel to the genre-defining film, "Psycho," and promises to give viewers an intimate portrayal of how Norman Bates' psyche unravels through his teenage years.

Fans will have access to the dark, twisted backstory and learn first hand just how deeply intricate his relationship with his mother, Norma, truly is and how she helped forge the most famous serial killer of them all.

"Bates Motel" is produced by Universal Television for A&E Network. Carlton Cuse ("Lost") and Kerry Ehrin ("Friday Night Lights") serve as executive producers for Carlton Cuse Productions.
