Professor Norman Naimark discusses book project in Stanford Humanities Center profile
Professor Norman Naimark, former Director of Stanford Global Studies and CREEES-affiliated faculty member, is the 2016-17 Donald Andrews Whittier Fellow at the Stanford Humanities Center. In this interview, he discusses his current book project, which focuses on “the interaction between Stalin’s policies in Europe, European politics, and beginnings of the Cold War.” In addition to his current book project, the interview explores Professor Naimark’s broader research interests, including: postwar Europe and the Soviet Union, ethnic cleansing and genocide, Yugoslavia, and European politics as a whole.
