ePADD v3.0 release, upcoming hackathon, and spring presentations

We are very excited to announce the final release of ePADD v3.0, which introduces an entity merge interface, unique IDs, greater customization options, UI changes, and other minor fixes. You can grab the new version, and view the complete release notes on Github

Some additional news:

  • The ACRL Digital Curation Interest Group is hosting an ePADD webinar on March 17. This is a great opportunity to become more familiar with the software, see features from the latest release, or ask a question.
  • ePADD will be presenting a poster/demo and holding a workshop at the Personal Digital Archiving conference at Stanford this March 29-31. Additionally, ePADD will be co-sponsoring an overnight Hackathon in connection with that conference, which will run from March 31-April 1. A separate announcement with more information about the hackathon will go out soon.
  • The upcoming Society of California Archivists Annual General Meeting will see two ePADD-affiliated events. First, from 1:00-1:45 PM on Friday at the conference hotel, we will be hosting an ePADD User Forum (exact location TBA).

Second, Josh will moderate a session: From Project to People: Exploring Successful Community Engagement Strategies, from 2:00-3:15 PM on Saturday, in which ePADD will also be discussed.

  • Glynn and Peter will be presenting on ePADD at the Innovative Solutions for Archives & Financial Crises conference in St. Louis, Missouri, on May 11. The conference is cohosted by the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis and the European Association for Banking and Financial History.

We are looking forward to your feedback on this latest release, and hope to connect with you at these and other spring conferences!
