The goal of the undergraduate program in Mechanical Engineering is to provide students with a balance of intellectual and practical experiences that enable them to address a variety of societal needs. Our program prepares students for entry-level work as mechanical engineers or for graduate study in engineering, or in another discipline, where a fundamental engineering background constitutes a desirable foundation.
At the graduate level, the Mechanical Engineering program aligns academic course work with research to prepare scholars in specialized areas within the field. Areas of specialization range from automatic controls, energy systems, fluid mechanics, heat transfer and solid mechanics to biomechanical engineering, MEMS and design.
The Student Services Office is your resource for all questions related to your academic experience.
Students may apply to graduate for any quarter during the year: autumn, winter, spring or summer.
