Benelogic System (for Administrators)
Overview
Benelogic is a third party postdoc benefits management platform. It is a stand-alone system and does not exchange information with any Stanford databases. This platform allows:
- Postdocs to enroll in their insurance benefits and process qualifying life events that add or remove dependents from their health coverage.
- Administrators to enter and track the PTAs that are used to pay for each of their postdoc’s insurance premiums on a monthly basis.
Gaining Access
In general, one user and one back-up per department can be given access to Benelogic. Training is required to gain access to the system. Access provides full access to thePTA Management module; read-only access is not available at this time. Benelogic training is offered on a quarterly basis or more frequently, if needed.

We strongly advise that administrators have knowledge of how postdocs are paid and be familiar with Stanford GFS entry and practices. Administrators can receive Training for GFS by signing up via STARS. There are also a number of GFS Job Aids available on their website.
